Photo Journal #20: May 29, 2014 (Thursday)

went to Minlab Davao today for my laboratory. After, I decided to stay at Dunkin Donut’s just in front of the lab to read while Papa had his check-up with a neurologist. It’s great to have capped the day off by leaving a note to Gee and Anne for being so accommodating. ūüėČ

Bucket List Success # 3: Volunteer in the Church

I joined the Commentators and Lectors Ministry (CLM) of Sta. Ana Shrine Parish, Davao city last November 2013. It was the best decision I made two years after leaving the ministry in South Cotabato because in some way, volunteering did help me in coping with depression. Now, I’m enormously grateful and happy. The first phase involved attending the monthly general meetings. After completing the required general meeting sessions, I was recommended for weekday mass reading and was assigned as lector for the 12 noon Monday mass for two months. Finally, I was promoted and allowed to serve during Sunday masses.

If I could give only give one advice to those battling with depression, ¬†that would be,¬†‚Äúserve God and you would never go hungry and thirsty.‚ÄĚ
